Cebu IT Park: Darker than its nightlife

It was 2007 when I came back in Cebu after 17 years living in GenSan. I can say the feeling was nostalgic and exciting especially when I visited the places where we usually go and play. It was still there but not as what was before, everything had already changed.

Felling lucky that I was employed and relocated by PeopleSupport which is situated in Asiatown IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City. New environment, new people and new company yet it would also be a new kind experience for me to see the unknown.

IT Park then was just really a vast area with few buildings namely I1 & I2, Globe, Skyrise1 and eOffice 1 unlike today.

This was my first office for our financial account. You'll never notice until you've seen them.

The Sleeping Room - most employees share their scary experiences inside the sleeping room. Some say they had nightmares-- "bangungot" in Tagalog or "urom" in Cebuano. That someone was trying choke them to death.

A colleague of mine that time whom his third eye was widely open said that he saw a lady covered in blood that is staying inside the sleeping lounge and is really at rage.

One day, we were having small talks about the said lady in the sleeping room thinking that she can't go outside. We were making fun of how really the lady look like, if she is wearing an underwear or is she pretty even she was covered in blood. Our Team Leader that time was also playing a loud music from her cellphone then my colleague with the third eye became silent and asked us to stop from making fun of the lady cause he saw that it was out of the sleeping room and was mad. We were all silent, he said if I can turn off my computer monitor and see the reflection of the screen if I can see the ghost which I can't.

He said that the lady was right beside our team leader and hit her which eventually our team leader complained that she felt a sudden pain at her back. The lady came to my colleague and his nose started to bleed. From then on, we were making fun with the lady full of blood and our colleague that has the widely opened third eye resigned.

2. The Doppelganger of Bay One - as PeopleSupport was in its last day since Aegis acquired the company on 2008, the office was almost empty for our account was ready to be transferred to SkyRise 1. Most of us from the email team was busy processing emails and also a little chitchat. Two of my colleagues were on a 15-minute break and agreed to go to the wash room to pee. They thought that they were together in going to the wash room and talking to each other, but when the other one went out first, she was surprise to see that the other one was running towards her and said that she just came from the lobby to check her cellphone and was sorry that she came in first. She was asking as to whom she was with while inside the comfort room. We all end up through a prayer.

I thought that I already closed my third-eye but I was wrong, it was still the start of a new beginning.

1. Wide Shadow & company - another chitchat during a graveyard shift. We were talking about the creepy experiences we had just to keep us awake for the whole shift. While talking I saw a burnt girl beside my friend then suddenly a wide shadow covered us which is really visible while we are on our work stations.

2. The Little Boy - so far this is my favorite ghost. A playful little boy that is wearing a checkered polo and pair of shorts. I only saw him once when I place the beach ball on the table and was hesitant to get it, but for some people in the building, they usually see him inside the elevator.

3. New Year Sightings - It was January 1, 2010 and the year just started with a bang. Instead of sleeping after the celebration, I was on duty. Only our team were on duty that time for a graveyard shift. Busy as it is that we had a lot of emails to work on, me and my colleague was seated adjacent to door. While busy typing and sending emails, I seem to be distracted with someone who keeps on passing by the door. 

A small black shadow then a taller black shadow seem to pass every now and then. I noticed my colleague that keeps on turning her head to the door and I asked her, what do you see?, then she said someone just passed by. I said, don't mind that maybe it was just the utility people outside. After which, both of us were already distracted every time "they" pass by. Then my colleague said, "I saw two shadows and its creepy" and was starting to cry. I went out and asked "them" to stop on what they're doing. Eventually, they stopped!

4. Nightmares and apparitions - our operations floor don't have any sleeping rooms and we go to a specific place in the office that we normally called "the morgue" because its dark and perfect for our quick hibernation. Most people were complaining about a white lady that strangling them when they sleep. What I did was to challenge the said white lady in "the morgue" and face me and the unexpected happened. I slept in a damaged chair then suddenly I saw this lady sitting in front of me wearing a white-torn bridal gown, face was covered with her hair and seem laughing at me. Due to fear, I tried to wake but my body is not responding. I'm looking at my hands and feet and commanding it to move but had no response and all I can see is this white lady laughing with just her hair front. I was struggling and then I prayed the Lord's Prayer and she was gone. I know it was not a dream but was a real encounter.

I told my colleagues about it and some really don't believe it but eventually believed it when they already experienced it. Almost everyone from the team had the same experience and encounters which we could say she was real.

As the new building was full operational by 2011 most of us were high-spirited and hoped for the best of the company yet it seem to follow us..

PARANORM: Scary Halloween Contest

Its Halloween in the office and we are busy in making ourselves scary by putting our masks on and for some having their make-up. It was not my first time to do such for a Halloween celebration and doing this creates fun and excitement during the activity.

We were four from our team who joined the contest and others from the different teams. I dressed up as "Jason" with a Jabbawockeez mask which for somehow kinda look funny yet scary. Together with me is my life-sized living doll "Jocelen" whom is my victim. With help of a disposable plate, I was able to make my own knife and just put some red lipstick then I have an instant bloody knife.

My colleagues did also an amazing job by painting themselves with face-paint. This is Richard who portrays as the "Devil", with his sinister looks and demonic laugh, he really caught the attention of the people outside.

This is Maan as the "Joker" from the movie Batman. What she did was a full amount of mud-pack on her face and put some face-paint to enhance the look.

And the last but not the least is Carl as the character of "Darth Maul" from the movie Star Wars.

Though we were not the winners, at least we had enjoyed every moment in making this activity successful.

PARANORM: The black male figure in our house

I always see this figure that is floating whenever I go to sleep.

It was a sunny morning and since everybody was out in the house and I was only the one that is left, it's time for me to do some household chores. As I was cleaning my room, I saw a black male figure passed by the corridor straight to our bathroom door that is made of mirror. I knew that I was not alone because I saw this figure through my peripheral vision standing right in front the door of my bedroom.

This was not the first time I saw this male figure but several times. There was once that I was washing the dishes after dinner and my family was watching TV,  I saw again this unknown figure that is floating in the air, covered with a black robe-like cloth staring at my family. As I see it through the window glass pane, it seemed to saw me and began staring at me. I immediately called my mother as if there was something to say just to divert my attention and it was gone.

There are also times where I can hear people talking in the living room during the wee hours of the morning whenever I wake up to pee. More stories about our house to my next post.

PARANORM: Third Eye known as the "Sixth Sense"

Have you seen ghosts? Spirits that are lost and are still with us. Have you heard weird whispers or sound that seem to scare you to death? These are just basis of having a third-eye a.k.a. "sixth sense".

I, myself is a living proof that unknown entities are all around us; whether we call it as ghosts, goblins, spirits, or other form of supernatural being that can't be explained by science or religion. What inspires me to have this blog realize is the number of events that I have experienced. Some people would seem not to believe me, but I know that I don't make up stories to be known. I tell what I see, feel and hear; even it scares other people whenever I relate my experiences of the unknown.

All of us have this "sixth sense", but only a few have the ability to experience it, that's why most people don't believe us. Sometimes they say that it is just the result of our wild imagination or simply hallucinations. My question is this, Why would I see them passing behind me or even seeing them staring at me? Why can I see them doing something while I'm working or worst is touching me while I'm asleep? Are these just my imagination?

So to speak, I don't know how I acquired this special ability. All I know, I had two accidents of falling that made my head bled that I was rushed to the hospital and the other caused me nauseous that resulted me vomiting. Was this two incidents triggered my third eye to open? My answer is, I don't know!

PARANORM: Introduction of the unknown

known as "Kamatayan" in Filipino language.

This would be my introduction for my new managed blog which is the Paranorm Society™. I am making this blog for I know that some of you might be experiencing the same experiences as mine. This blog tackles about my experiences in seeing and feeling the unknown.

All of us has the ability to see and feel the unknown, we may not just see or feel them exactly as what do we normally do but they really exist. At first, I don't believe in them for I know that it is just part of my wide imagination and fear, but I was wrong. My first encounter was when I was still a kid, perhaps 5 or 6 years old at our rented old house here in Cebu City.


It was wee hours of early dawn when I peed and felt the discomfort due to wet shorts. As I've changed, I went out too grasp some cool air bringing my pillows along with me at the balcony of our rented ancestral house. I lied on the floor and noticed that there was a man in front of our door step and swaying it's body from left to right (as if it was walking). Since I was fond of watching horror TV series (Regal Shocker), I can say that fright was nothing to me. The man looked like "Kamatayan", with his black robe, small bluish-like eyes and the shiny cane, I can say that it was "Kamatayan". I kept silent the entire moment, facing my head back and forth just to test myself if what I see was real. I even talked to him and get near to him just to check if it was just a shadow or something, yet I was wrong.


He was just moving from side to side and silent, and felt the chilling moment that made me realize that it was really something. After that, I get my Joseph, Mary and Jesus figurines so I can scare him off but it stayed as it  is and I decided to go back to our room and sleep. Since then, it was a normal feel for me to see, hear and experience the unknown.
